Good to know

When to check with a doctor first.

Red ginseng is a food supplement, not a medicine, but because ours is concentrated it's worth a quick check. If any of these apply, talk to your doctor before starting.

Blood thinners or aspirinSuch as warfarin or clopidogrel. Check with your doctor first.
Blood-pressure or diabetes medicationGinseng may interact, so a doctor's okay is best.
Cold, fever or pain relieversLong-term acetaminophen or ibuprofen, or reduced liver function.
Pregnant or nursingBest taken only after speaking with your doctor.
Under 18Dilute in water, split through the day, and involve a guardian.
Caffeine timingLeave at least 2 hours between red ginseng and coffee or energy drinks.

This is general guidance, not medical advice. When in doubt, ask a healthcare professional.

Questions, answered

How to take it, and more.

How much red ginseng should I take a day?

One 30ml stick a day is the simple answer. Each stick delivers 30mg or more of ginsenosides, well above the typical daily guideline, so there's no need to take more. If you're new to red ginseng or over 60, you can start with half a stick for the first week or two.

When is the best time to take it?

Most people take it in the morning. On an empty stomach absorption is quickest; if that feels heavy, take it after a light meal or diluted in warm water. Avoid late evening, since as an adaptogen it can feel gently energizing.

Does it contain caffeine?

No, zero caffeine. Korean red ginseng is a caffeine-free adaptogen, which is why many people use it for steady daily energy without the spike, crash, or jitters of coffee and energy drinks. If you do drink coffee, leave about two hours between the two.

Can I take it with coffee or pre-workout?

Yes, with simple timing. Take your stick in the morning and your coffee about two hours later so they don't overlap. Around training, many people take it 20 minutes before a workout or mix it into a post-workout shake.

How does it taste, and how can I make it nicer?

It's earthy and lightly sweet from the honey. Straight from the stick is simplest, but you can stir it into warm water or tea, mix it into a smoothie, or take it cold over ice. We share recipes our community loves.

How long until I notice a difference?

Adaptogens like red ginseng are traditionally used consistently rather than as a quick fix; their effects are described as gradual and cumulative over weeks of daily use. Taking one stick at the same time each day is the easiest way to stay consistent.

Can I take it every day, long term?

Many people do. A common rhythm is daily use with an occasional short break. If you take it for several months continuously or have a health condition, it's sensible to check in with your doctor along the way.
